Order

If you want to change or cancel your order, please contact us as soon as possible.

If the order has already been shipped, it is unfortunately no longer possible to change or cancel it. In this case, you can return the package free of charge and place the desired order again.

If you have placed your order correctly, you will receive an order confirmation and an invoice by email within a short time. If this is not the case, it may be due to one of the following reasons:

  • The order was not correctly completed and placed.
  • The email address provided was incorrect.
  • The email is in the spam folder.
  • The email was not sent due to a technical error.If you cannot find the email even in the spam folder, please contact us.

Due to high demand and limited production capacity, products may be temporarily unavailable. If you would like to be notified when the item is available again, please go to the desired product on our website and leave your email address in the field provided.

Shipping

Following your order, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with all details concerning the order as well as the shipment number and a link to track the shipment. Please note that it may take some time until the package is handed over to the shipping service provider and the shipment status changes.

We currently ship directly to all countries within the EU* as well as Switzerland, Lichtenstein, the UK and the USA. We are working on being able to offer the JOSEPHINE collection in other countries soon, but please understand that this is currently not yet possible due to tight inventories.

We currently offer express shipping to the EU and the US, and are working on expanding our service to other countries.

Delivery within Switzerland and Liechtenstein usually takes place within 1-2 business days, even with standard shipping.

Express orders placed Monday through Friday until 12 noon will be shipped the same day, otherwise on the next working day. On weekends and holidays, no deliveries can be made.

Due to the current situation, delivery services unfortunately cannot always adhere to their predicted delivery times.

Delivery to a package station is possible. Please enter all the information required for this option during the ordering process.

If you have entered an incorrect delivery address in your order, please contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to correct this information before the order is shipped, but we cannot guarantee this.

You can specify different billing and shipping addresses during the checkout process.

If your order could not be delivered to you, it will automatically be returned to us as the sender. As soon as we receive the return, we will contact you and find a solution.

Payment

Shop with confidence. We support secure payments through Shopify Payments and PayPal.

We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express, as well as Klarna (in the available markets) and other regional payment methods, and prioritize your convenience and security thanks to trusted payment gateways.

Voucher codes can be entered directly in the payment process in the "Discount code" field provided. Only one code can be redeemed at a time.

Please note that voucher codes can only be used in the shop they have been created:

  • Codes created in the josephinen.com or in the ch.josephinen.com shop can be used in both shops
  • Codes created in the us.josephinen.com can only be used in that shop.

If your voucher code does not work, please check the following options:

  • The expiration date has passed, and the code is therefore no longer valid.
  • Incorrect spelling (please pay attention to upper- and lower-case spelling, as well as spaces).
  • Make sure that you are trying to use the code in the right shop. Codes created for josephinen.com or ch.josephinen.com can be used in both, while codes created for us.josephinen.com can only be used in that shop.
  • Please contact us if you cannot find the cause for this problem.

Complaints

Perfection in craftsmanship is our maxim. That is why the production of every JOSEPHINE glass strictly follows traditional and elaborate glassmaking techniques. In a fascinating process, the glass is melted in the furnace, picked up on a glassmaker's pipe and, in many steps, mouth-blown, shaped by hand, slowly cooled, and given a high-quality finish. It takes years of experience, extreme skill, and delicate artistry from our selected glassblowers to produce glasses of this delicacy and precision despite the simplest of tools. As each piece is handmade, shape and size may minimally vary, and isolated small bubbles may appear in the glass which do not affect the function of the glass in any way. Rather, this is an expression of the essence of handblown glass that makes each piece a unique specimen of true craftsmanship. Before shipping, we thoroughly inspect the quality of all products. Any glass that does not meet the highest standards of precision and feather-light weight is remelted and recycled. If you have nonetheless received a defective product, please contact us immediately So that we may deal with this matter in the best possible way, please provide the following information:

  • Order number (e.g. #1234)
  • Description of the defect
  • Photo of the defect

Despite careful packaging, an item can sometimes be damaged during transport – for which we apologize! If this is the case, please contact us immediately after receiving your order. As a rule, you will receive a replacement promptly and without complications. So that we may deal with this matter in the best possible way, please provide the following information:

  • Order number (e.g. #1234)
  • Description of the damage
  • Photo of the damaged item

If an item is damaged during use, please understand that we cannot guarantee or accept liability for this. Broken glass is often caused by mishandling. Avoid twisting or bending the stem and never apply pressure to the glass or its components. Hints and tips for the proper cleaning and care of JOSEPHINE glasses can be found here.

Care/ cleaning

The JOSEPHINE glasses are handmade and love to be cleaned by hand as well. To do this, hold the glass so that the stem is between your index and middle fingers and the goblet is in your hand (please do not hold the glass at the bottom or just at the stem). Use lukewarm water and, if necessary, a mild detergent, the possible residues of which you should wash off completely.Here you can find a video on how to clean the JOSEPHINE glasses.

The JOSEPHINE glasses can also be cleaned at low temperature in a glass-safe dishwasher maintained according to the manufacturer's instructions, free of grease and adjusted to the local water hardness. Please make sure that the glasses stand securely and do not bump up against each other. Use detergent from a quality manufacturer and select a dishwashing program that does not exceed

Our large, pure linen cloth is best suited for drying and polishing. The linen cloth should be washed several times before first use. It should be washed without fabric softener and should not be put in the dryer as this will close the fine pores. Hold the goblet with one end of the cloth and use the other end to dry all the components of the glass one by one, always polishing the goblet and base separately. Please never hold the glass by the base plate while polishing and avoid the typical counter-rotating motion of the foot and goblet. Any last drop of water in the base of the stem can be picked up wonderfully with our brush made of natural hair. Please use the cloth and brush exclusively for your glasses.

Yes, all our products are made of lead-free crystal glass according to the EU Council Directive 69/493/EEC.

If a product is damaged during use, please understand that we cannot offer any guarantee or accept liability. The glasses of the JOSEPHINE collection are unique, handblown pieces that are extremely light and thin-walled, but at the same time quite robust. Hints and tips for the proper care of the JOSEPHINE glasses can be found here.

Unfortunately, we do not have any information regarding pieces of the former Josephinenhüte, which nonetheless do serve us as inspiration. You can learn more about the creation of the new Josephinenhütte here.
